UK National Strategy

Sue, a few days ago, told us about some material they made in the UK. It is a training pack for ICT the spans the whole curriculim in key stage 3. It is a material that holds good information about how ICT is thought as a subject, in the subject and as a tool for teaching.

I think it can be very useful for inspiration, as it holds concrete examples on how to use ICT in subjects. These examples are ready to use and will help the teachers discovering that it is not that difficult to use ICT in their own subjects.

Find the material on the website of the department for education and skills.

There is also a UK government website which provides practical support for learning and teaching with ICT
    http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/supportpack/
It covers most secondary subject and literacy and numeracy for primary teaching.

Teacher’s TV has thousands of educational programs which you can either watch on TV or download. Programs cover a wide range of issues, including the use of ICt in the classroom and for professional development.
